"Original illustration by Sydenham Edwards, ca. 1807. This artwork was used in Curtis's Botanical Magazine, 1807; volume 26, plate 1027. Curtis's Botanical Magazine is the longest running botanical periodical featuring colour illustrations of plants and has been published continuously since 1787.
The inscriptions says: H. 101-23 Bot Mag Original, presented by R. Hort. Soc. 25. 1.23
