Original illustration from Curtis's Botanical Magazine, plate 2084, 2nd August 1819. Watercolour and pencil on paper. This species is a native of the Cape of Good Hope and, according to J. Sims, was introduced to England by Mr [Francis] Masson in 1792. This specimen was communicated by Messrs Loddiges and Sons
