Original illustration from Curtis's Botanical Magazine, published as plate 1620, 1st February 1814. Watercolour and pencil on paper. This species is a native of the Cape of Good Hope. The drawing was made from a specimen that flowered in August 1813 in Messrs Lee and Kennedy's conservatory at Hammersmith.
